Allarity updates stenoparib DRP®-guided development in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer

Allarity updated its clinical development strategy for stenoparib, using the 414-gene DRP® companion diagnostic to select patients for a pivotal trial aimed at FDA approval. The company amended its ongoing Phase 2 protocol to focus exclusively on platinum-resistant or platinum-ineligible ovarian cancer patients, which began enrolling in summer 2025. Recent patents and CLIA lab certification strengthen control of the DRP test as a companion diagnostic.

Allarity granted Japanese patent for stenoparib DRP companion diagnostic

Japan Patent Office granted Japanese Patent No. 7917283 covering the stenoparib-specific DRP companion diagnostic, extending protection in Japan into 2039. The patent covers DRP methods for predicting clinical benefit from stenoparib based on gene-expression profiles and selecting patients most likely to benefit. This strengthens IP protection for the companion diagnostic in one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical markets.
